How to find the best Hilton Head rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • In the Hilton Head area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Summertime is high season in Hilton Head. Reserve your Hilton Head rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Hilton Head area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your search:

  • First and foremost, have your group choose the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Lovely CoastalCondo w/ Shared Pool, Free WiFi, Central AC, Private W/D & Deck has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible online. Otherwise, call the host before you book the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the rental manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
