Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furnishings, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

About the Area

Located near the beach, this condo is in Folly Field, a neighborhood in Hilton Head Island. Arts Center of Coastal Carolina and Coastal Discovery Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Palmetto Dunes Club and Barony Course at Port Royal Golf Club. Adventure Cove and Pirate's Island Adventure Golf are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Strategies to get the best vacation rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Hilton Head area. To book the largest vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have discounts for local tours and attractions.

  • First and foremost, have your family commit to dates and a maximum budget.

Know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback.
