Tips for getting the perfect Hilton Head rental home experience:
Getting the most from your rental home budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Hilton Head visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
How to choose the best rental home in the Hilton Head area:
- Start by selecting your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Fazio 34 has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before booking the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is right for your trip.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or could be applied to your agreement.
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- At Check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
