Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer is high season in the Hilton Head area. To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Hilton Head vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, , and reduced traffic.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hilton Head area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • First and foremost, have your group decide on date ranges and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Brigantine Quarters Hilton Head where you are never far from sun, sand and fun! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's a specific Hilton Head beach you crave, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • At Check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
