There is still all of the rest of Hilton Head (America’s favorite island per Condé Nast’s annual traveler's survey), and close by Bluffton, Daufuskie Island, and Savanah to discover.

Pull into your private, covered parking area and ascend a modest staircase to the main floor. Floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors allow ample natural light into the interconnected and generously decorated living room, kitchen, and dining areas. The living room provides comfortable seating, complimentary WiFi, a TV, and a blue tooth enabled Bose speaker. Just off the living area are the dining room and kitchen. The entirely-equipped kitchen is open to the dining area and features saturnia floor, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. How to find the best Hilton Head vacation home experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Hilton Head rental home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Hilton Head area. Booking in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hilton Head area visitor guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose the perfect vacation home in Hilton Head:

  • Start by having your family choose a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Professionally decorated townhome with multiple balconies, pool, & washer\/dryer has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the host before you book the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your family.
  • If there's a specific Hilton Head destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
