Tips for getting the best Hilton Head vacation property experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Hilton Head rental home:

  • In the Hilton Head area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Book your vacation in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Hilton Head area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • To start, have your family agree to vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Beach Blossom - PET FRIENDLY HOME! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the host before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what is optimal for your family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a certain Hilton Head beach you are crazy about, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More tips for your stay:

  • Add the host's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas during check in. E-mail the property manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to compel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
