  • In the Hilton Head area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection.   • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it.
