The full kitchen is complete with ample counter space and modern appliances, so you won't have to worry about mealtimes in this heaven. When the temperature has risen a bit, take a short walk down to the pool and lounge with a book in hand, or walk a bit farther and take the path to crashing waves. Feel the sand between your toes as you let all of life's worries wash away with the tide and sit back and watch the sky change from blue to orange as the sun goes down. When it is time to call it a nighttime, put on a movie or favorite TV show on the flatscreen TV or simply drift to sleep to the sound of the coast close by.

This location is hard to beat for beachgoers and golfers alike. Just a short walk away are George Fazio Golf Course and Robert Trent Jones Oceanfront Golf Course where you can spend an afternoon on the lush greens. If there are a few tennis players in the group, take advantage of the world-class Ship[yard Van Der Meer Tennis facility and challenge each other to some friendly competition. Shelter Cove Marina is a great place to meander through stores and try the local cuisine and if you need a wardrobe update, Shelter Cove Towne Centre is also close by sporting all of your favorite clothing stores.

You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Hilton Head area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your life at home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
