Booking the best Hilton Head rental experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Book your Hilton Head rental home in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, property management companies supply Hilton Head area visitors guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
