The kitchen is well-equipped with full-size appliances, granite countertops, and a two-sided breakfast bar. There's additional seating in the adjacent dining room and outside on the canopy-covered balcony.

Our top Hilton Head vacation rental home tips and tricks:

When to book & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking your Hilton Head vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Finding the best vacation home in Hilton Head:

  • Begin by selecting trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Dog-Friendly Condo w\/ Lagoon & Golf View, WiFi & Shared Pool - Walk to Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's an individual Hilton Head destination you are enamored with, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your contract.

Additional considerations:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
