Strategies to get the perfect vacation home experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To get the most suitable rental within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hilton Head area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and picking the perfect Hilton Head rental:

  • Start by having your family select dates and a spending budget.
  • Ocean Breeze 7 has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking pages. If not, email the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

During your stay:

  • Add the owner's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
