Mooring Buoy 151 is located in the handsome Palmetto Dunes plantation. The moment you walk through the double wooden doors into the two-story Great Room, you feel that you have entered into a bright and great vacation home. The dining area has a Henredon table with seating for eight. Attached to the dining room is a alluring screened porch with a tiled table with four chairs and two bar stools with a bar table. The roomy rear deck with another table seating for four and a gas grille faces the pool and the calming lagoon alive with herons and egrets.

The main level of the home has two bedrooms - a cavernous primary suite and a guest room. The primary bedroom has a king bed, TV, and a private, newly-refreshed en suite bathroom equipped with a make-up area, bespoke body spa shower and a Kohler hydro jet tub. Strategies for getting the best Hilton Head rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Hilton Head area. Book your Hilton Head rental in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hilton Head area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning, picking, and booking your prefect Hilton Head rental:

  • Start by choosing a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 2-story house with private heated outdoor pool, stunning views & foosball has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property management company before you book the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a particular Hilton Head destination you simply love, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. text the property manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to compel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
