Our top Hilton Head vacation rental home tips and tricks:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Hilton Head. To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.

  • Property managers often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Hilton Head area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
