You'll feel like you're already at the beach when you stay at this cavernous, entirely-modernized Island Club townhouse. The relaxing blue color palette and the coastal artwork are nearly as calming as the lagoon and fountain view from the enormous private patio. The peaceful location is ideal - no upstairs neighbors - and the beach is only a short walk down the complex's private paved path. This community has no shortage of activities, and this unit is closer to the recreation than many of the beachside units. You can hold a family sports tournament on the tennis or basketball courts, keep up appearances at the exercise center, or relax in a hot tub. If you opt for a pool day, the exercise-minded can head to the sizable lap pool while the kids play under the mushroom fountain at the zero-entry kids's pool. For mealtimes, there is a huge shared gas grille only 100 feet from the front door and a close by picnic area with a playground and lawn games like corn hole and lawn golf. When you want to go gourmet, indoor meal prep is an option too. The kitchen features handsome granite countertops and new appliances and opens right up to the living area, where you can lounge on the plush furnishings and appreciate the 50-inch Samsung Intelligent TV. The owners didn't overlook any detail when putting the finishing touches on this home, from the main bathroom's walk-in shower to the powder room's quartz countertops.

You and your guests will also savor exclusive access to a host of exceptional on-site amenities including seasonal pools, a hot tub, tennis center, picnic areas, and five convenient beach access points. Rental property booking tips:

Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Hilton Head area. To find the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Hilton Head visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Choosing the best rental:

  • First, have your family select date ranges and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Villa with Private Beach Access, Pool, Hot Tub, Free WiFi, & Private W\/D has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Hilton Head rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually available online. If not, email or call the property management company before you reserve your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your group.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Hilton Head attraction you love, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking

Tips for a great stay:

  • Add the owner's contact info to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
