Tricks and tips to get the optimal rental home experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in the Hilton Head area. To find the most suitable rental within your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- In the Hilton Head area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hilton Head area visitor guides that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to select the perfect rental in the Hilton Head area:
- Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Pet Friendly 4 bedroom/4 bathroom townhouse in Sea Pines, multi-family rental has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. If not, call the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a smooth stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many difficulties.
- Be respectful. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
