Booking the best vacation home experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Hilton Head rental home:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Hilton Head visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides have offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Selecting and booking the rightvacation home:

  • Select your dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Oceanside Seascape Villa with lagoon views & 2 pools - easy walk to beach access has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before you book the vacation property. • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a certain Hilton Head destination you love, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • At Check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to propel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective.
