Tips to get the perfect rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Hilton Head area. To find the most suitable vacation home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Hilton Head attractions and restaurants.
  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hilton Head area visitors guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your search:

  • First and foremost, have your group decide on the best dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Condo 1 block from Coligny Plaza with on-site pool, balcony, & W\/D has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the host before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is optimal for your vacation group.
  • If there's a specific Hilton Head destination you simply love, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your contract.

Tips for your stay:

  • Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Upon arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to compel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
