Tricks and tips to get the optimal Hilton Head rental experience:
Get the best value:
- In the Hilton Head area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Summertime is high season in Hilton Head. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, management companies supply Hilton Head area visitors guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and choose the perfectvacation home:
- Start by selecting your a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Beautiful Golf Course Views From Your Private Deck! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your group.
- If your family is bringing pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
Know before you go:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Upon arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to stimulate new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
