How to get the best vacation rental experience:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- In the Hilton Head area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in the Hilton Head area. Booking in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Hilton Head visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- First, have your family decide on a vacation week and a max budget.
- Fazio 34 has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you book your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your invoice.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few problems.
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect your property!
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. text the host immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
