The North Shore Place Homeowners Association has announced important structural building enhancements starting this September and spanning roughly six months.
These improvements include a fresh resurfacing of the pool deck, fixing damaged concrete and replacing fire sprinkler piping in the parking garage. There will be time that work will be noisy and access to individual units and parts of the building will be restricted for short periods of time.
During this time, the pool and spa will be temporary closed, however, access to the SeaCrest oceanfront pool will still be available to guests.
Island Getaway does not have any control over projects (including timing of work) concerning the outside of this building, including but not limited to pool work, building work, pathways, etc.

Vacation rental tips and tricks:
Get the most from your budget:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- To book the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Some property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hilton Head area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning, selecting, and booking a perfect Hilton Head rental home:
- Start by choosing the best vacation week and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. 2 Bed\/2 Bath Villa North Shore Place Near Coligny Beach, Rooftop Pool and Spa has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property owner before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a particular Hilton Head attraction you crave, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
Know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Record any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
