Hilton Head Island has been ranked the #1 Island in the Continental U.S. and #1 Island in the U.S. by readers of Travel + Leisure Magazine and Conde Nast Traveler for the past multiple years. In my slightly biased opinion you just can't find a better beach. The sand, the water, the HHI lifestyle - it just can't be beat. And speaking of "it just can't be beat," again while I might be slightly biased, I believe our beachfront condo in The Spa on Port Royal Sound is the best location you can find on the island. Our condo features 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The master suite features a queen bed with private ensuite and the 2nd bedroom features 2 sets of twin bunk beds. The living area also has a queen size sleeper couch Our unit is close to everything. Just steps from your door to the excellent beach. 2 outdoor community pools, an indoor pool and hot tub, sauna and gym!! BBQ grilles. Gorgeously manicured grounds. It has everything. And the best news? We are new to renting out our freshly modernized condo and offering great prices for the next few months, even into the peak weeks of Spring and Summer. But you have to act fast!

Rental home booking tips:

Money saving strategies:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer time is high season in Hilton Head. Booking your Hilton Head vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Hilton Head area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Planning, picking, and booking the best Hilton Head rental:

  • Select vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. The Spa at Port Royal Sound 3237 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many issues.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
