Hilton Head Island has been ranked the #1 Island in the Continental U.S. and #1 Island in the U.S. by readers of Travel + Leisure Magazine and Conde Nast Traveler for the past multiple years. In my slightly biased opinion you just can't find a better beach. The sand, the water, the HHI lifestyle - it just can't be beat. And speaking of "it just can't be beat," again while I might be slightly biased, I believe our beachfront condo in The Spa on Port Royal Sound is the best location you can find on the island. Our condo features 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The master suite features a queen bed with private ensuite and the 2nd bedroom features 2 sets of twin bunk beds. The living area also has a queen size sleeper couch Our unit is close to everything. Just steps from your door to the fabulous beach. 2 outdoor community pools, an indoor pool and hot tub, sauna and gym!! BBQ grilles. Attractively manicured grounds. It has everything. And the best news? We are new to renting out our freshly modernized condo and offering great prices for the next few months, even into the peak weeks of Spring and Summer. But you have to act fast!

Tricks and tips for getting the best Hilton Head vacation home experience:

Find your best deal:

  • In the Hilton Head area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Booking your Hilton Head vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hilton Head area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to select the best rental in Hilton Head:

  • First and foremost, have your family commit to the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. The Spa at Port Royal Sound 3237 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Hilton Head rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what is suitable for your vacation.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's an individual Hilton Head attraction you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
