How to book the best vacation rental experience:

Find your best deal:

  • In the Hilton Head area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To find the most suitable rental for your budget, we recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Hilton Head attractions.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hilton Head area visitors guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Speak to the rental manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a wonderful stay? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
