Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Hilton Head vacation home experience:

Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • In the Hilton Head area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • To find the best value, change your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hilton Head area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and picking the best Hilton Head vacation home:

  • First, have your family choose date ranges and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Quiet Waterfront Condo with WiFi - Pools & Hot Tub On-Site has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before reserving the vacation home. • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

Tips to have a terrific stay:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to propel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
