Strategies to get the perfect vacation property experience:

When to visit Hilton Head & When to book:

  • In the Hilton Head area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Booking in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Hilton Head area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Finding the perfect vacation home in the Hilton Head area:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Lagoon and Golf Course Views! has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a particular Hilton Head attraction you are crazy about, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to drive future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
