How to book the best vacation property experience:

Sticking to a budget:

  • To get the best value, shift your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Hilton Head visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain coupons for local accommodations and attractions.

Filter your rental search:

  • Begin by selecting your trip dates and a budget.
  • Fazio 34 has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Hilton Head vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available online. If not, contact the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a particular Hilton Head beach you long to visit, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs applied to your agreement.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to stimulate more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
