Booking Notes

Thank you for booking with Cheers Charters!

Please meet the Cheers Crew member, 15 minutes prior to your departure, in the picnic grove area to the right of the cement boat pier. They will escort your party on to the dock. Your deposit receipt is attached. We will charge your balance on the day of sailing. Let us know if you would also like to add a gratuity to the card for the crew. (20% is customary) Or you may tip the crew in cash if you enjoy your sail. Here is some additional information:

We are located at 18 Simmons Rd, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926 in the Broad Creek Marina.

If you are driving to Broad Creek:
Once you turn on to Simmons Rd, make an immediate right into the Marina parking area. You will see several American Flags. (If you come to Fish Camp or Up the Creek Restaurant you missed the turn). You must take the road behind the marina boathouse to access our dock area. You may park in either lot. Parking is free. A Cheers crew member will meet you in the grove with the picnic tables.

If you are taking a Ride Share such as Uber or Lyft:
You may tell them either Broad Creek Marina or Up the Creek Restaurant. A Cheers crew member will meet you across from the restaurant in the grove with the picnic tables.

For larger groups who need transportation:
We recommend Dunes Buggy Shuttle. Please arrange with Pat Shevlin a few days in advance. 843-689-4222 or IslandBuggy@roadrunner.com.

We do not sell food or beverages. You may bring a few soft sided coolers. Depending on the number of guests, your cooler may need to sit with you. You may bring alcoholic beverages as long as guests are over 21. No drugs are allowed on board. There is one toilet (the Head) for guest's use.

We ask that you not wear any heeled shoes. Most people wear flip-flops, sandals, sneakers or go barefoot.

The sailboat does not have actual seats. You may stand or sit on the cushions around the deck. We have passengers of all ages, we just caution that guests must have the mobility to get up and down from the deck. You may sit on the side, with your knees bent. We have cushions that unfold with a backrest. If you have a guest with a mobility issue, please call us and we will make every attempt to accommodate but realize sometimes due to the nature of the ship, this may not be possible.

For safety concerns, passengers will not be allowed in the cockpit area where the Captain is steering.

You may have a refund of your deposit if you need to cancel your trip more than 48 hours in advance. We may have to cancel a trip due to inclement weather. This is the Captain’s call and often weather in Hilton Head blows over quickly and leaves even more beautiful conditions for sailing.

If you would like to dine out prior to sailing, there are two restaurants at the marina. Up the Creek has casual pub grub. Fishcamp has elevated coastal cuisine. Please allow enough time to finish before meeting the sailboat crew. We want to ensure you get the full time on the water.
