description: Who would've thought you'd see the day when you heard people go River Snorkeling, especially in the Saluda River! The Lower Saluda happens to be hosted to one of the healthiest stocks of Striped Bass in SC. Every Spring these fish migrate from Lakes Marion & Moultrie to spawn in the cool waters of the Lower Saluda River just outside of Columbia. We will snorkel a protected stretch of the river located behind Riverbanks Zoo to the confluence of the Congaree River in search of the beautiful gamefish. Not only will we see trophy sized Striper swimming around the river bottom, but we'll have the opportunity to see impressive Longnose Gar, Spotted Suckers, Bowfin, and Blue Catfish some the size of your dogs!
check_in_details: We will meet in the Main Parking Lot of the Saluda Riverwalk promptly at 9:30am where we’ll gear up and head to the water by 10am. From there we’ll snorkel down the river to the confluence where we’ll hop out and walk the riverwalk back to the parking lot. We will arrive back at the parking lot around 1pm.
