description: Dolphin strand feeding is when a pod(group) of dolphins work together to hunt, gather and pushing a school of fish onto a bank, coming completely out of the water to feed. AMAZING and a MUST SEE!

During this expedition(and it is an expedition) we will be taking you to some strand feeding hot spots, searching for any signs that we just might see them on the hunt. These tours are scheduled around low tides and currents, giving you the best opportunity for viewing this incredible event. Please know and understand that although we have a high rate of success, we do not always get to see the strand feeding, BUT we always see dolphins.

When we find a spot where feeding is about to happen we often see birds gathering, to join in the fun. The dolphin will be moving together, up and down the bank. When they find their prey they will start to circle and gather fish closer together. Often you will see one of the dolphin raising their heads out of the water to check the banks for proper slope and size. Then without a noticeable sign(for us) the dolphin create a wake with their heads and bodies, pushing the fish out of the water. All at once they are out with the fish and birds all trying to eat or survive together. Then slide back in, in silence.

itinerary: - 1- Meet and greet, 5min before tour @ the end of wooden pier

highlights: Seeing the dolphin strand feeding can be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Watching them work together only helps increase our love for these intelligent creatures. Every day with them is a good day spent.

While on this tour you will also get to see the back creeks and waterways of Hilton Head, which are some of our favorite spots. These areas are some of the most secluded and you can see some incredible wildlife.

On this trip we do guarantee dolphin sightings, but due to the fact that these creatures are wild, we can not guarantee strand feeding. YET...this tour gives you the very best opportunity and we will do everything in our power to make it happen.
check_in_details: Please arrive 15-20min early.
- After turning on Simmons, take the first right, before the large building, at the signs.
- Park anywhere and walk towards the water(zipline on your right)
- Use the rest room and get ice, located in the small blue/green building between the kayaks(wooden pier) and the boats on racks.
- 5min before your tour be at the end of the WOODEN PIER (towards the boats), phone available.
- Apply sunblock BEFORE GETTING ON BOAT!
