itinerary: Camp Overview: You will receive and email prior to the start of camping letting you know the specific activities each day.
Camp Days will include:

A day of shooting archery with compound bows at the Mid-Island Tract. We will also have a professional style 9-hole Disc Golf Course set up for your kids to have fun learning a new sport. The third station is a nature walk to a rookery inside the Mid-Island Tract. Your children will learn all about the various birds and other critters found nesting and resting around the various lagoons.

A day of learning kayak skills and outdoor survival skills. Participants will take a tour through the marsh via kayak and visit various shell banks where they can get out and explore and cool off in the marsh. We will also spend time learning how to build a shelter in the wild and learn the basics of wilderness first aid and survival techniques.

A day of campers heading to the brand new Climbing Wall at the Island Rec Center while the other half of the camp will spend time fishing, cast netting, and crabbing off the dock. Mid-way through the day, we will switch groups so all have equal time with each activity. Pick up is at the Rowing & Sailing Center!

A day spent playing paddle sports on the water, jousting with pool noodles in the marsh from our floating mats, relay kayak and SUP races, and more! Plan for a day of fun on the water!

If you have any questions or concerns or need to pick up early, please feel free to call me on my cell: 843.290.9258. We are very excited to get underway next week, and we hope your child is excited as well!
what_to_bring: We supply all the gear, fishing rods, bait & tackle, so there's no need to bring your own gear. I recommend bringing a light snack, water bottle, and sunscreen. Please keep a towel and perhaps a change of clothes in your pick-up vehicle for the ride home. On Tuesday through Thursday, plan on your child being wet! We will hose them off for ya so they don't track pluff mud all throughout you vehicle :).

What to Wear:
During Archery and Disc Golf at the Mid Island Tract we ask participants to please wear sneakers, shorts and T-shirt.
When we are at the Rowing and Sailing Center please wear a bathing suit with cover up for girls or shorts and a swim shirt. VERY IMPORTANT: As for footwear, please arrive with sandals that stay securely attached to the feet (i.e. Tevas, Chacos, sandals with velcro straps, hard bottom water shoes) or old sneakers you don't mind getting wet/dirty. PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP IN FLIP FLOPS OR CROCS. If your child arrives in flip flops or Crocs, they will not be able to participate in certain activities, particularly involving kayaking to shell banks and shoreline exploration. There are live oyster shells throughout the marsh where we will be exploring and we do not want any cut fingers or toes! Walmart has some cheap options for hard bottom water shoes and sandals with straps.
faqs: This is a 4 day camp that lasts 3.5 hours each day. When you enroll for the first day, it ensures your enrollment for each of the 4 days of camp.
