Or you can head just a little bit further to the Village at Wexford for even more eateries and boutique stores. For a unique interactive museum experience, head to Sandbox. The whole family can have some fun at Pirate's Island Adventure Golf. The historic Harbour Town Lighthouse is also just a short drive from the condo. The Shipyard Plantation Beach Club features a host of private, oceanfront amenities and beach access just a short drive from the condo.

Between outings, relax in the living room while streaming shows and movies on the intelligent TV or make your way out to the water-view deck for coffee or cold beverages. Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses.   • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to drive future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
