Getting the best vacation rental experience:
Get the most from your rental budget:
- To get the largest rental within your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, management companies supply Hilton Head area visitors guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to select the perfect rental in the Hilton Head area:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Beach Blossom - Weekly & Monthly Rates from January to March 2025\/PET FRIENDLY has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. message the rental manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few problems.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to compel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
