About
Dolphin strand feeding is a unique activity of dolphins in the Lowcountry in which a small group of 3 to 5 male dolphins rush the smooth, muddy banks of shallow backwater creeks and push a batch of fish onto the shore. The dolphins strand themselves on the shore to eat the fish and then wiggle back into the water to swim away with their meal in their stomach.
We are able to offer this unique tour only when the conditions are right. It is a three hour excursion through the backwaters of the Lowcountry.
We'll see dolphins along the way, and plenty of beautiful scenery. After crossing the Calibogue Sound and reaching our secret spot, we'll quietly cruise the estuaries through marsh and, with luck (no guarantees), be rewarded with the amazing view of dolphins strand feeding. It's an experience you'll never forget.
