description: This is an after-school program hosted by Outdoor Rec where kids ages 8-14 can receive assistance completing homework and be rewarded with fishing and kayaking off the dock at the Rowing & Sailing Center! In addition to learning and enhancing their fishing and kayaking skills, participants will also learn about the various wildlife inhabiting our island and basic salt marsh ecology.

itinerary: To book this activity - Choose the First Wednesday of the month. This ensures that your child is enrolled to participate the entire month. Sessions occur for 4 sessions a month on Wednesdays.

what_to_bring: Your child may get a little wet and dirty, so many kids choose to bring a change of clothes with them on Wednesdays. We have locker rooms here at the Rec Center for the kids to use, so please consider bringing clothes you do not mind getting a little dirty or wet and it is always a good idea to keep a towel in your car for pickup. Old tennis shoes are the best as we do not allow kids to wear flip flops or crocs as they easily slip off the feet and do not stand up to the sharp oysters and shells!
