All ages welcome but not a Family Friendly program. More geared towards adults but kids that are interested in plants/gardening/nature will enjoy.
Take a walk through the Heritage Garden and learn about Lowcountry history through plants. Experience foods introduced and grown by the Gullah which are at the heart of today’s traditional southern cooking. See examples of plants growing that were the source of the Southern economy from the 1600’s through the early 1900’s. Learn about native plants that have been used for medicine, food, and as tools for hundreds of years by Native Americans and Colonists.

Welcome to the Coastal Discovery Museum!
The Coastal Discovery Museum is one of the most memorable destinations on Hilton Head Island. Explore natural history and cultural heritage on the 68 acre Honey Horn property. The Museum’s trails, gardens, live oaks, butterfly enclosure, and horses are just a few of the fun experiences you will encounter during your visit.
Monday-Saturday 9:00-4:30 and Sunday 11-3.
