Strategies to get the very best rental experience:
When to visit Hilton Head & When to reserve a Hilton Head rental home:
- Summer is high season in Hilton Head. To get the most suitable rental within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Hilton Head restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- In the Hilton Head area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Hilton Head visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Planning, picking, and booking your prefectrental home:
- To start, have your group decide on date ranges and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration you need. SeaPines, Updated, Golf view, On site pool, Pet friendly, Walk to the Beach has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine which bed configuration is right for your group.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
Advice for your stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
