Conveniently located in the private gated community of Shipyard Plantation, this villa offers something for everybody while overlooking the lagoon and the #7 hole of The Clipper Golf Course. Shipyard Plantation offers a Beach Club with beach access, three golf courses, and 12 miles of leisure trails for cycling and hiking, making for a calming and relaxing hideaway. In your downtime, lounge about the glittering pool on-site or indulge in some friendly competition on the tennis and pickleball courts.

Inside, you'll find a bright interior simply flooded with natural light. Make yourself at home by calming on the plush furnishings, curling up with a good book by the fireplace, or watching your favorite shows on the huge TV in the living room area. The private balcony makes for the best place to drink your morning coffee as the sun rises through the Spanish-mossed trees. Hobby chefs will appreciate preparing grandiose meals and beach picnic snacks in the full kitchen, equipped with stainless steel appliances, a breakfast bar, and a formal dining table. If you need to stay connected, a dedicated working space is available with a chair and desk for remote work. With two beds and a couch bed, there's more than enough room for everybody to get a comfortable nighttime's rest from the day's activities. Find the epitome of comfort in the main suite, which features a private balcony entrance, a TV for private viewing, and a delightful en suite bathroom with a soaking tub and walk-in shower. The guest suite also includes its own bathroom.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if allowed.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furnishings, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer time is high season in the Hilton Head area. To book the most suitable rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Hilton Head area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for nearby tours and attractions.

  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.

More considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if there is a dispute.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
