Booking the best Hilton Head rental experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • In the Hilton Head area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summer months are high season in Hilton Head. Booking in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Choose your vacation week and max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Secluded & Peaceful - Vacation Getaway with WiFi, Pool, Hot Tub, & Private Beach has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before you reserve the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is best for your family.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
  • Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • Note any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
