With Misguided Outdoors, a whole variety of fishing techniques are on the table. From using light tackle, to artificial lures, and even fly fishing, there’s plenty to choose from.

Captain Jacob Meier has a soft spot for Redfish and he knows how to catch them in any situation. They’re a “tough crowd,” and the way you’ll be catching them depends on the fishing grounds. Whether you need to set a cork down the perfect drift, flip and pitch with a bait caster, or use a fly rod – Capt. Jacob will get them hooked!

You’ll be fishing aboard a 19’ Xplor Boatworks, newly built in 2019. This flats boat accommodates up to 3 anglers on a casting trip, but fly fishing trips are best if there’s only one guest. The boat is powered by a 60 HP Suzuki engine and has the necessary navigational and safety equipment for a great day on the water.

Besides Redfish, you’ll also target Sheepshead, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, and Flounder. There’s a limit to the catch you can keep – 1 Redfish and 1 of any other species per angler. The captain will provide your fishing equipment but it’s best to bring your own if you’d like to fly fish. There’s also fresh water and ice on the boat, so you only need to bring some food.
