Appreciate golf? Appreciate the beach? Adore tennis? Then Sea Pines Sanctuary is the ideal getaway for you and your family and friends. Located in an ideal location in the striking Sea Pines Plantation, this completely updated, calming, 2,773-square-foot, single-level vacation home overlooks the seventh green of the newly modernized, world-class Atlantic Dunes Golf Course. It even has a game room with a game system!

The full-service, stately Sea Pines Beach Club is less than a mile away, giving you the choice of walking or cycling down the breathtaking bicycle path that wanders through the majestic oak trees and palms adjacent to the ninth fairway of Atlantic Dunes or driving and parking at the beach club. The world-class golf clubhouse, restaurant, and practice facilities for the Atlantic Dunes and Heron Pointe Golf Courses are a short walk away between the home and the beach club. One of our favorite places in Sea Pines is Harbour Town, which is only a mile and a half from the home. Harbour Town features a PGA Tour golf course, top-notch tennis facilities, stores, eateries, live entertainment, and the world-famed yacht basin and lighthouse. The South Beach Marina is just over three miles from the home. It features a pool, additional tennis courts, and the famed Salty Dog Café, among other eateries, stores, and a relaxing outdoor bar overlooking the water. Equestrians will be overjoyed to learn that Lawton Stables is less than a mile north of the home.

Imagine appreciating all of this with your family and friends amid photogenic live oak trees and hanging Spanish moss overlooking a ideally manicured golf course from the screened porch on the back of the home. Willow Oak Road is one of the original streets and certainly one of the quietest in Sea Pines despite its ideal, central location.

Tips to get the best rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer is high season in the Hilton Head area. To get the largest rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies supply Hilton Head area visitors guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose a group leader, select your trip dates, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Dreamy, upgraded home with golf course view, private pool & spa -near beach club has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the host before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what is right for your family.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to propel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
