How to book the best Hilton Head rental experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- In the Hilton Head area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- To book the most suitable rental home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Begin by selecting a vacation week and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Beautiful ocean-view condo with beach access, pools, hot tub, tennis has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Hilton Head rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available online. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
